Blanche Neige at Théâtre de Chaillot

Thank god for a Christmas ballet program that’s not The Nutcracker. There’s not a sugar plum fairy in sight in Angelin Preljocaj’s contemporary take on Blanche Neige (Snow White), instead, you’ll find a dominatrix Queen – complete with masked minions – acrobatic dwarfs, and a scantily clad Snow White. And Preljocaj’s vigorous, sensual choreography looks all the better dressed in costumes by Monsieur Jean-Paul Gaultier.
