A little golden laurel logo in the corner of a window is the only exterior sign that Fred Perry has finally smeared itself with lanoline, swum across the Channel and set up its first French shop in a corner of the Marais. The shop feels airy, but if the classic British brand packed lightly, it also packed well. Amply stocked with trademark poloshirts - some somber, some so bright they're blinding, the shop also finds room for the limited edition Terry Hall v-neck (based on the one The Special's singer wore in the first ever edition of The Face) and a cashmere-rich collaborative range with Raf Simons. The middle of the shop floor is decorated with a tiled mosaic laurel, in blue and white, which shines and invites tap dancing. But resist; for an even bigger kick, have the brand make you a bespoke shirt - tailored to your particular torso, and in any colour you like. RR
Fred Perry est finalement traversé la Manche et a ouvert sa première boutique Parisienne dans la coeur du Marais. La classique marque britannique vend son fameux polo, mais aussi des rangées d'édition limitée de Terry Hall et Raf Simons.
