Booking is a must at this cosy bar à vins. Happy regulars crowd in and peruse the walls lined with a great selection of small producer wines; the takeaway prices are scribbled on the front, you add an extra 7€ for drinking in. No space is wasted on a kitchen, with the chef rustling up the dishes of the day up the back. Smoke filled the room at some point during our meal, possibly caused by a magret de canard left under the grill a tad too long. The door was opened and the blunder forgotten in the gay banter of the happy eaters. Go here to soak up the cheer, enjoy the wine and the hearty portions of rustic French fare. FU
Il faut absolument réserver, pour ce bar à vins cosy. Les nombreux et heureux habitués du lieu scrutent les murs, sur lesquels s’alignent les vins, judicieusement choisis, de petits producteurs ; les prix à emporter son griffonnés là, et il faut y ajouter 7€ pour consommer sur place. On n’a pas perdu d’espace pour la cuisine, et le chef s’affaire pour préparer les plats derrière la salle. L’espace s’est rempli de fumée à un moment pendant notre repas, sans doute parce qu’un magret de canard avait été laissé sur le grill un peu trop longtemps. La porte s’est ouverte et la mésaventure vite oubliée, au milieu du joyeux brouhaha des clients. C’est l’endroit où aller pour une ambiance gaie, du bon vin et de solides portions de cuisine française rustique. FU
