LINDSTROM: ‘WHERE YOU GO I GO TOO'
Issuing from the frozen lands of Northern Europe, Hans Peter Lindstrom is now heralding the warm wave of Scandinavian disco. After making a name for himself alongside his Norwegian compatriot Prins Thomas on the estimable Belgian label Eskimo, Lindstrom signed his first real solo album (his preceding LP, It's a Feedelity Affair was a compilation of his different singles). Far from conventional formats, the album demonstrates the full extent of his daring by offering merely three tracks (29, 10, and 16 minutes). ‘Where You Go I Go Too', the title-song and longest of the three, is a magnificent piece of romantic bravery. Lindstrom brings the listener into a rich landscape of sound that crosses Ennio Morricone with Moroder. Rarely does disco find such an epic and passsionate hymn. BJ

Après s'être fait un nom aux cotés de son compatriote norvégien Prins Thomas sur l'estimable label belge Eskimo, Lindstrom signe son premier véritable album solo (son précédent LP, It's A Feedelity Affair était une compilation de ses différents singles). Loin des formats convenus, il démontre toute l'étendue de son audace avec un album composé de seulement trois chapitres (29, 10 et 16 minutes). 'Where You Go I Go Too', le titre phare et le plus long des trois est un magnifique morceau de bravoure romanesque. Il emmène l'auditeur dans des paysages à la croisée d'Ennio Morricone et de Moroder. Rarement la space disco n'eue d'hymne aussi épique et passionnant. BJ
