OPIUM EXPRESS
To celebrate the perfume Opium’s 30th birthday, YSL has set up an ephemeral temple in its honour. The space takes you on a journey featuring films, photography, art and of course, scent. Inspired by travel, films take viewers on a voyage to the Far East, and a relaxation room invites guests in for a massage or makeup application. The real treat is at the end in the Cabinet of Curiosity room, with pullout drawers filled with the mythic scent’s inspiration: from packaging design to ingredients. The last drawer displays each ingredient on a screen and simultaneously gives off a burst of that scent, ending with the finished perfume of Opium. Truly an encounter that will not be forgotten. MM
Pour fêter les 30 ans de son parfum Opium, YSL érige un temple éphémère en son honneur. A travers films, photos, art et, bien entendu, parfums, on est transporté. Inspiré par le voyage, les films emmènent les spectateurs en Extrême Orient, et une salle de relaxation permet aux invités de se détendre le temps d’un massage ou pour y être maquillée. Le meilleur, c’est le Cabinet des Curiosités final, où les tiroirs sont remplis ce qui a inspiré la mythique senteur, du packaging aux ingrédients. Le dernier tiroir exhibe chaque ingrédient simultanément, sur un écran, tout en le donnant à sentir, et on finit avec le parfum Opium tel qu’on le connaît. C’est une rencontre qu’on n’oubliera pas. MM
