Hiya, thanks for checking this. I'm visiting Paris next weekend and won't be getting into town until 10.30 - 11pm.
If anyone could suggest somewhere good to eat near the 9th arrondissement I would be really grateful. Also any good bar recommendations would be apppreciated.
Cheers,

Absolutely! The souris d'agneau I had there was really succulent.
Bars: Le Fourmi on rue des Martyrs/bd de Rochechouart or Le Progrès 7 rue des Trois Frères, 18th, for a lively, grungy, arty crowd.

I agree, La Fourmi is great to hang out in, as are its' sister bars 'Le Tournesol' in the 14th very close to Montparnasse in the street with all the theatres (rue de la Gaîté from memory) plus the only worthwhile place in the 17th, 'Les Trois Pièces' (rue des Dames). All belong to the same owner, who seems like he's onto something we could do a lot more with here, especially those of us who live in West Paris...
The understated, late-night chic of Hotel Amour might do the trick.

Tried it, it's packed late, but surprisingly good and friendly. Try the Argentinian beef steak, it's amazing..
thanks gogo, thats where i'm staying so at least it close ;)
Just up the road at Abbesses, Café Burq serves up great French food, in a smoky, noisy, bistro atmosphere. We love it.
