UK artist David Shrigley, the maestro of the mordant cartoon, has adapted one of his publications to music for this must-have 2 CD concept album. The lyrics are taken from Shrigley’s Worried Noodles 2005 songbook of what were then imaginary songs. The compilation is made up 39 fab songs from 39 different artists and includes such profane masterpieces as ‘Blackcurrant Jam’ by Grizzly Bear, ‘The Pretty Girl’ by Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, ‘No’ by Hot Chip, and ‘Elaine’ by Cibelle, oh, and there's Franz Ferdinand and David Byrne in there somewhere too.
