'Luxury, calm and voluptousness' could be the subtitle of this album written by DJ Yellow and the American singer Astrid Suryanto. Intermission is a silky and subtle house album, uniting Charles Webster's grace with the melancholy of Everything But The Girl. The production is well-polished and the beats as warm as a soft blanket. DJ Yellow once partnered with Bob Sinclair in the middle of the 90s, forming the core of the group, Mighty Bop. Together they also founded the label Yellow Prod. But the duo's creative paths divergered wildly. Where Sinclair preferred to sell himself to the vulgarity of showbiz, Alain Ho aka DJ Yellow held firm to his dignity and integrity. We can only be grateful. BJ

‘Luxe, calme et volupté’ pourrait être le sous titre de cet album écrit par DJ Yellow et la chanteuse américaine Astrid Suryanto. Intermission est un disque de house soyeuse et subtile, alliant la grâce de Charles Webster et la mélancolie d’Everything but the Girl. La production est léché et le beat aussi chaleureux qu’une douce couette. DJ Yellow était autrefois partenaire de Bob Sinclar au milieu des années 90, au sein du très bon groupe Mighty Bop. C’est aussi ensemble qu’ils ont créé le label Yellow prod. Mais la créativité du duo divergea de manière flagrante. Alors que son ancien acolyte préféra se perdre dans la vulgarité du showbiz, Alain Ho aka DJ Yellow garda toute son intégrité et sa respectabilité. On ne peut que lui exprimer toute notre gratitude.
