(Brands come to the rescue of the music industry.) The up-for-it crowd discovered 3 London bands: Fiction and their arty multi-instrumentalism; Man Like Me and their energetic hybrid sound kinda like a crossover of Madness and The Streets; and Plugs with their sophisticated indie dance sounds. The label will inaugurate Off Tracks – a series of gigs in surprising places – on 2 July with a concert from the 4th band in their stable Velo, more info on their site from 28 June…
